Need Social Security Lawyers, Hire the Best in Chicago

Most people who are off work due to a mental or physical disability need to watch their money closely. Those that are disabled may be aware that they can claim for disability benefits, but they may hesitate to do so because they do not feel they are in a financial position to hire experienced Social Security lawyers to help with their claim.

If you are disabled and unable to work in Chicago, you can still afford to hire the best lawyers. Social Security lawyers work on a contingency fee basis. These lawyers work with you, preparing and presenting that which is necessary for your claim to be approved. It is only when your claim is approved that you have to pay the legal fee, and it is usually paid directly by Social Security from the back pay you have been awarded.

How Does This Work?

Once your chosen lawyers have evaluated your case and opted to represent you, you and the lawyers will enter into an agreement. This agreement is submitted to the Social Security Administration for approval. Once you have been granted benefits, then and only then, are your lawyers paid. The fee is set by federal law; your lawyers can only charge 25 percent of the back pay you are eventually awarded or $6,000, whichever is less.

During the process, your lawyers in Chicago will invariably incur expenses for such things as postage, photocopies, record searches, etc. These out of pocket expenses rarely amount to much, perhaps no more than $100, or so.

The legal fee will be paid once your claim has been approved; any out of pocket expenses are usually billed when your lawyers incur them. Most clients pay costs up-front, your lawyers will make payments as necessary and keep you advised when payments are made. Any money that is left in the trust account at the successful conclusion of your case will be returned.

There is no good reason why you should not hire qualified Social Security lawyers. Contact The Law Offices of Jeffrey A. Rabin & Associates, Ltd. in Chicago at https://www.rabinsslaw.com.
